Dear Diary

September 17th

The same people have said the same things about me for years. We all know that I have things I regret doing when I was younger, but I have changed, even if I’m still the same person. The reason you don’t think I’m any different is because the only time we interact is when you decide to come up to me at the beach to say the exact same things you always have, straight to my face. It’s really ironic. I think you haven’t changed because you still tease me like a child, yet you think I am a child because I always argue with you.

My therapist told me, “At some point we begin to recognize that everyone has a different world view.” Then, she said, “I’m growing as a person.” and thinks I should say the exact same thing to Richard.
